Ryan, one of our Fire Door Maintenance Engineers in the Fire Prevention Plus team, has successfully completed his NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection qualification through our Academy and working together with Now Get Qualified (NGQ). This NVQ is for those who are experienced at fire stopping and PFP works, with more detailed training relating to –

• Installing fire resisting timber door assemblies & doorsets
• Erecting fire resisting walls & wall linigs
• Erecting & dismantling access/working platforms
• Moving, handling & storing resources
• Conforming to productive working practices
• Conforming to general health, safety & welfare

Ryan has demonstrated practical skills in the relevant areas listed above, shown understanding and awareness of a good level of work-related knowledge and competence, and proven the ability to carry out work safely and to an excellent standard.
